Entertainment Weekly reported that she will be portraying a character named Donna Zimmer, who is described as a high-powered client of Grace’s (Debra Messing) who starts dating her bitter sister, Janet (Mary McCormack). The character of Janet was originally played by Oscar-winner Geena Davis, who appeared in the season 6 episode called The Accidental Tsuris (a play on her film The Accidental Tourist).

According to EW, she started filming yesterday and the episode that features her could air early in the upcoming season. The revival of the show has garnered much praise from critics and audiences alike, and has earned several of the cast members a bunch of nominations in the process (Megan Mullally scored an Emmy nod for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series earlier this month).

The first season of the revival saw a ton of major celebs either make their debut or return to the legendary comedy series, notably Molly Shannon and Jennifer Lopez. Chelsea happens to be good friends with Eric McCormack (Will) in real life, so hopefully we get to see some fun and playful banter between the two of them when the episode airs either later this year or in 2019.
