Praise Be! More uncomfortable dystopia is coming with ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’

Praise be! Hulu announced that the award-winning The Handmaid’s Tale has been renewed for a third season! Just a week after the premiere of the much-anticipated second season, The Handmaid’s Tale is proving to be Hulu’s most watched series ever. And after last night’s suspenseful episode, how could it possibly go on?

The show, which is based on Margaret Atwood’s novel has taken flight from its original source and is taking viewers on some very intense journeys that explore feminism, LGBTQ issues, class and social structures and dystopian society in the not-so-far future.

Hulu shared the great news at the 2018 Digital Content NewFronts event in New York this week.

As the story continues to unravel and takes the show’s primary character, June (Offred) played by Elisabeth Moss, to new heights, it’s insane to think that the story can get any better—or worse depending how you look at it. But if you’re not watching, you have to binge and catch up. It’s the kind of uncomfortable, nauseating, yet necessary watching that this modern Golden Age of television was made for.
