Adam Rippon Has A Few Words For The Drag Queen Dressed Like Elsa

Last week, we shared with you the news (and video) of a Boston man, dressed as Frozen’s Elsa, helping a police wagon in the snow.

The video went viral and thanks to that, many people around the globe now know the name (or at least, the look) of 37-year-old Jason Triplett.

The attorney by day, Disney princess by night was at first overwhelmed by the sudden rush of attention directed his way, but he also used it to his advantage.

Triplett shared that the one thing he wanted out of this entire incident was the attention of a certain Olympic figure skater. That’s right, Triplett quickly shared the word that his one wish out of this current media storm is to get to meet a hero of his, Adam Rippon.

While we don’t know about a future meeting, Rippon was happy to share that he’s well aware of Jason Triplett and the video that’s started all the talk.

While talking to Entertainment Tonight, Rippon shared that he was impressed by Triplett’s actions. When asked if he wanted to say anything to the man from Boston, Rippon turned to the camera and said, “They say not all heroes wear capes, but sometimes, they do.’’

Adam Rippon And Sam Greisman Cuddle Up At HRC Gala!

Move over Shawn Mendes, there's a new man in Adam Rippon's life! Olympic figure skating sensation Adam Rippon shot to superstardom during the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games, and those who followed him from the get-go might remember that Sally Field was the Twitter wingmom for her son, Sam Greisman, who at the time confessed to having a crush on Rippon. After Sam admitted to taking a liking to the bronze medalist, she texted:

Sam… he’s insanely pretty. Find a way...

Sam and Field took the exchange to Twitter, and the moment quickly went viral. Just a few days after Field's tweet, Rippon and Greisman were allegedly texting, and as of last night we now have our first picture of the two cuties together! Both were in attendance at the Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner, and Greisman wasn't about to miss the opportunity to cozy up to his celebrity crush for a picture. Field is complete mom goals, and has spent her adult life using her voice to speak up for the LGBTQ community. But to go so far as to help her son meet the man of his dreams? Now that's gold medal parenting! Greisman cheekily included this caption with his photo of the two:

Thanks, mom.

There's no word yet on how the rest of the evening went, but it's safe to say that Field has fulfilled her motherly duties for the end of time. Hey mom, if you're reading this, I'd like a photo with Gus Kenworthy. Thx.

When Asked If The Johnny Weir Fighting Was True, Adam Rippon Said...

Adam Rippon’s shined a light on the rumored rivalry between him and NBC commentator Johnny Weir.

Rippon made an appearance on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live,” and was asked by a caller if the Page Six story about the fighting between him and Weir was true.

Rippon’s response?... Yeah, it maybe is.

More specifically, he said, “Um, maybe” followed by a head nod.

The rumor was the Johnny Weir felt upstaged by Rippon’s shining presence at the 2018 Winter Olympics. That said, Rippon had no intention of going after Weir’s spotlight. He was just being his authentic self and putting in the work of an Olympic athlete.

“I think maybe. But you know what? I’m not coming for his job. I’m not coming for his gig," Rippon added.

On top of that, the two men barely had any actual interaction while in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Despite these possibly true rumors, Rippon respects and appreciates Johnny Weir. If Weir hadn’t come out in 2011 after his second time in the Olympics, Rippon might have had a harder time as an openly Gay Olympian.

“We’ve always reached out to each other, and I’ve always, liked, thanked him because I kind of feel like, he kind of, like, helped make my way a little bit easier,” Rippon.

With that, Weir’s rep team officially denies the claims of Weir feeling put off by Rippon.

As they told the HuffingtonPost, “The Page Six story was completely false. Johnny is proud of and stands behind all the athletes and their accomplishments.”

Adam Rippon Speaks Out About Wearing a Harness to the 2018 Oscars

The 2018 Oscars were the least watched in almost a decade (not surprising), however one attendee definitely got us talking about something other than the predictable awards that were handed out on Sunday night.

Figure skater Adam Rippon, who won a bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics, definitely got the gay and fashion communities talking about the leather harness that he wore under his Tuxedo.

Comments on social media ranged from "Who are you wearing? Tom of Finland," to "I'm wearing a harness to any formal occasion from now on," and "Biggest winner of @Oscars2018? Whoever got to top #adamrippon."

Amongst all the chaos, Adam issued this tweet on Monday night regarding his controversial attire, which in true form, he stands by completely.

Did you like Adam's harness at the Oscars?  Was it appropriate or no?

Adam Rippon Loses Control While Reading One Of His Favorite Fan Letters

Even though the 2018 Winter Olympics have officially ended, Adam Rippon is still our social media darling.

The Bronze medal winning Olympian is not only amazing for standing up to Vice President Mike Pence or giving sports commentary with comedian Leslie Jones, but he’s also a kind-hearted man who recognizes his effect on others.

Rippon posted on Twitter yesterday. In the tweet, captioned, “Of all the letters and messages I’ve gotten, this is definitely one of my favs. I love you, Alexis E,” Rippon recorded himself reading the fan letter out loud.

At the beginning of the video Rippon reads, “Dear Adam Rippon, we love you,” right before he starts to laugh from joy and embarrassment.

The question is, what’s next for the rising star? Rippon has certainly gained many new fans since the initial announcement that he would be going to the Winter Olympics only a month ago.

Since then, it seems like headline after headline contained some new quirky story involving the figure skater.

Now, post Olympics, Rippon has a myriad of career possibilities ahead of him. He could do more commentating, he could become a reality star (hopefully not, because he’s better than that), he could continue on with his sport, he could take a break, or he could do a mix of that and more.

We, and all his other fans, look forward to seeing what he’ll do.
