A night out around Liverpool’s LGBTQ+ scene ended with three men in hospital after an early-morning stabbing outside G-Bar.

Merseyside Police said officers were called to Tithebarn Street at around 6:35am on September 20, where the three men were found injured. Police believe the attack happened outside G-Bar on nearby Eberle Street, before the injured men were found on Tithebarn Street.
Two of the men are in a stable condition, while the third suffered minor injuries. All three men were taken to hospital.

What happened to the men outside G-Bar?
According to detectives, an altercation took place near the venue before the men were injured. A suspected weapon has since been recovered and will undergo forensic examination.
Police had not announced any arrests as of September 21. Officers are continuing to investigate, including reviewing CCTV and carrying out forensic and witness enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Lisa McNaughton said: “We understand the concern that such a serious incident will cause in the community. This is why it is so vital that anyone with information comes forward as a matter of urgency. It appears that some form of altercation broke out near to G-Bar, resulting in the three victims sustaining injuries.
“The suspected weapon has been recovered and will be forensically examined. We will do all we can to identify the person responsible and support the victims as this investigation progresses. If you saw or captured any part of this incident, let us know and we will take action.
“The consequences of this incident could have been even worse so be assured that we will relentlessly pursue the offender. You will see an increased police presence carrying out enquiries so speak to us with any information or concerns.”
A police cordon was put in place across Tithebarn Street, Eberle Street and Temple Lane while officers worked at the scene.
