Kim Chi & Miz Cracker Become The First Drag Queens Ever In A Super Bowl Commercial

Jennifer Lopez & Shakira may be headlining this year’s Pepsi Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show, but Sabra Hummus is making sure that that is not the only pairing that football fans and otherwise will be tuning in for. For the first time, two drag queens will be featured in a landmark Super Bowl commercial, as Miz Cracker and Kim Chi (New York City and Chicago respectively) snack on some Sabra hummus in front of a heavily lighted mirror, both decked out in scarlet red (and an equally fiery football helmet that Cracker attempts to don).

These two fan favorite RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni are not the only dynamic duo that is featured in Sabra’s ad campaign. For the first time in five years, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and former co-star and RHONJ “OG” Caroline Manzo are together in one room, filming an ad for the hummus.

Seeing Giudice and Manzo on screen together will thrill die-hard Housewives fans, as these two women have been embroiled in a feud since Manzo’s departure from the show in Season Five. In October, Giudice and her estranged husband Joe were interviewed by Andy Cohen & Giudice insinuated that Manzo could be responsible for the Giudice’s incarcerations. Now, it looks like a thaw may be occurring; US Magazine reported late last year that the two former friends and castmates both talked and smiled between takes

“Hummus is for everyone and pairs well with nearly every food you eat,” Jason Levine, Sabra’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “Whatever your passion, however you live, love, eat and enjoy life, this plant-based food is a winner. We’re bringing a diverse group of personalities to the table and demonstrating just how incredibly versatile, relevant and relatable hummus is today. We think we’ve got something for everyone.

The Sabra hummus ads will air on February 2nd during Super Bowl LIV (check local listings)
