Things are about to get bigger and better for Connor Storrie, and honestly, we are not complaining.
We know you’re just as excited as we are to see Storrie return as Ilya Rozanov in Heated Rivalry Season 2. The wait already feels far too long, but thankfully, there is another Storrie project on the horizon to keep us occupied while we wait for our favorite hockey player to get back on the ice.
The only catch? We have to wait a little longer.
Storrie’s upcoming sci-fi thriller April X has pushed its premiere date to October 2, moving it back by about a month from its previously planned release. The delay, however, comes with a pretty appealing upside: the film is getting a bigger theatrical release.
So yes, there will be more opportunities to see Connor Storrie on the big screen.
We can survive the wait.

From Hockey Star to Black-Market Hustler
In April X, Storrie leaves the hockey rink very far behind to play Bax, an overconfident hustler trying to survive in a bleak, near-future city in Eastern Europe.
And Bax has a rather unusual way of paying the rent. He steals artificial body parts and sells them through the black market, living in a rundown apartment with his twin sister, April, played by Lilly Krug. April, however, has something far more valuable than anything Bax could steal. She can control and digitally record her dreams. That unusual ability makes her a hot commodity for both powerful technology companies and the criminal underworld. Naturally, things get complicated when April suddenly disappears.
Connor Storrie Has a Mystery to Solve
Bax refuses to simply accept that his sister is gone. He uses his network of shady contacts to search for her, eventually becoming increasingly obsessed with finding out what happened. Then things get even stranger. Bax starts seeing glimpses of April around the city. There’s just one problem. She doesn’t seem to recognize him.
Is Bax finally getting closer to the truth, or is his desperate search beginning to unravel his grip on reality?
That mystery sits at the center of April X, which director Michel K. Parandi frames as a paranoid sci-fi film noir filled with surveillance, drones, neon-lit streets, and a distinctly dystopian atmosphere.

More Connor? Absolutely.
The film was shot on location in Bucharest, Romania, giving April X a suitably atmospheric backdrop for its story about technology, memory, surveillance, and the increasingly blurry line between reality and illusion.
For Storrie, it is also a chance to show audiences something very different from the character who made him a breakout favorite in Heated Rivalry.
Ilya Rozanov gave us the Russian accent, the hockey gear, and plenty of reasons to stare at the screen.
Bax promises something considerably darker.
And with April X now heading for a bigger theatrical release on October 2 in the US, while all other international theatrical release dates remain the same.
It looks like we are going to be getting a lot more Connor Storrie before he laces up those hockey skates again. Frankly, give us all of it.
