Heated Rivalry fans have two very different kinds of Season 2 news to obsess over. First, François Arnaud has confirmed there’s more Scott Hunter and Kip Grady coming, which is excellent news for “Skip” fans. Then there’s the less exciting update: the Heated Rivalry crew is asking fans to stop hunting down filming locations.

So, basically: here’s more of the couple you love, and please stop following us. Fair enough. But now that Scott and Kip are officially back in the conversation, we have to ask: which couple do you want more of in Season 2 — Scott and Kip, or Shane and Ilya?

François Arnaud Teases More Scott and Kip

Arnaud, who plays hockey captain Scott Hunter, confirmed he will return for Season 2, while Robbie G.K. will also reprise his role as Kip Grady.

“I can tell you that there’s more of Scott, but I can’t tell you in what capacity. There are various things at play,” Arnaud told WWD.

That is just vague enough to send fans into full detective mode. Fortunately, he gave them one much more useful detail: “there’s definitely more of Scott and Kip.”

And honestly, that’s enough to make the “Skip” corner of the fandom very happy.

Scott and Kip took center stage in the show’s third episode, giving viewers a different romance from the central relationship between Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander. Their story brought its own mix of history, tenderness and hockey-player emotional dysfunction — because apparently one complicated hockey romance was never going to be enough.

Could Scott and Kip Get Their Happy Ending?

Fans familiar with Rachel Reid’s Game Changer books know Scott and Kip still have plenty of story left. In the fourth book, Common Goal, their relationship continues and eventually reaches a major milestone: they get married.

That doesn’t mean the wedding is guaranteed to happen in Season 2, but the source material certainly gives the series somewhere to go. And after Arnaud confirmed “there’s definitely more of Scott and Kip,” fans are naturally going to wonder whether the show plans to explore more of their relationship.

A wedding would be nice. We’re just saying.

Meanwhile, the Production Team Has a Request

While fans celebrate Scott and Kip’s return, the Heated Rivalry crew has been busy asking everyone to please give the production some space.

Filming for Season 2 has kicked off in Toronto, and the show’s official Instagram account, along with creator Jacob Tierney’s production company Accent Aigu Entertainment, asked fans not to interfere with filming locations.

“Your support, enthusiasm, and kindness have meant the world to us,” the crew wrote in a post on Instagram.

“As we gear up for more Heated Rivalry, please help us in making it the best it can be. If you happen to come across one of our filming locations, please give our cast and crew the space they need to do what they do best.”

The message, signed by “your Heated Rivalry” family, also promised that “it’ll be worth the wait.”

Considering how closely fans have been watching Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, we understand why the production felt the need to say something. The two actors can apparently be spotted together without the internet immediately treating it like a national emergency.

Although, to be fair, if they’re wearing matching short shorts and crossbody bags, we’re not promising anything. That’s a gay emergency.

Let Heated Rivalry Film in Peace

The excitement is understandable, especially when Heated Rivalry sightings can turn into instant social media events. But there’s a difference between being excited about the show and turning a filming location into a fan convention.

The production needs to keep scenes under wraps, while the cast and crew need enough space to actually do their jobs. Nobody wants Season 2 spoiled because someone with excellent eyesight and absolutely no chill spotted a hockey jersey from half a block away.

So perhaps we can let them film in peace. And save the screaming for when the episodes actually arrive.

So, Who Gets More Screen Time?

That leaves us with two pieces of Season 2 news: Scott and Kip are back, and the production team would like fans to stop stalking the set.

Honestly, both feel very Heated Rivalry.

But now comes the important question: which couple do you want more of in Season 2 — Scott and Kip, or Shane and Ilya?

Heated Rivalry

Our vote? Why choose? Give us the hockey, the yearning, and all four emotionally complicated men. We promise to behave. Mostly.
