HRC has responded to the Target/Best Buy donation debacle, calling on the companies to make it right and match their donations to a pro-GLBT organization:

“It’s a huge slap in the face to LGBT people and for that matter to all fair-minded Americans,” said Joe Solmonese, HRC president. “Two of our most trusted brands have contributed shareholder money that could help elect a candidate that wants nothing but the worst for us. Both companies talk about this contribution as a business decision. I would offer that it’s a really bad business decision. Both companies have now earned the bad will of LGBT people and fair-minded Americans. They need to make it right.”
This afternoon, HRC will send out a national...

"I would rather have a prostate exam on live television by a guy with very cold hands than have a Facebook page," George Clooney, the epitomy of class who sports a well-known adversion to the social-networking giant, tells the Daily Express.

Three hunky actors from the 90210 reincarnation have responded positively to recent news that one of the characters they play will come out in the show's upcoming season.

“It's exciting because the way they're explaining it, it's going to be written in a way where it's really going to focus on the struggle of coming to fruition of who he is – whoever he is,” Trevor Donovan, who plays the all-American jock Teddy, told GregInHollywood.com.

“To tell you the truth, I would be honored and flattered and excited if it was me,” he continued. “Because not only would it be a great opportunity to sort of display and showcase your acting chops, but it's also a great opportunity to [portray the] struggle of coming to that fruition, the ...

In other international news, two couples became the first same-sex partners to wed under the new Argentina law extending marriage equality to all of its citizens.

Jose Luis Navaro and Miguel Angel Calefato exchanged vows early Friday morning in the city of Frias, becoming the first gay couple to obtain a marriage license from Argentina.

Shortly after (they admit they were trying to be the first couple to wed in the country), Alejandro Vanelli and Ernesto Larresse (pictured) tied the knot in Buenos Aires.

Both couples have been together over 25 years.

Three more couples are scheduled to wed over the weekend in the country, the first nation in Latin America to provide marriage equality.

A Pride march unlike any other in the world took place yesterday in Jerusalem as thousands from the city’s GLBT community marched for their political rights in the Holy Land as well as in memory of the victims of the Tel Aviv gay center shooting, which marked its year anniversary yesterday.

While Jerusalem's longest Pride march has been historically marred with violence, yesterday's event unfolded calmly, despite the typical sight of the area's vehement anti-gay protestors.

From the AP:

Marchers said such opposition has forced the gay community of Jerusalem underground in most parts of the city.

"In a religious society, a lot of people still don't realize we actually exist," said Sarah Weil, 26, who helps run an organization for lesbians...

...and no, it's not because of the "Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber" website.

From the Westboro "Baptist Church" website:

There are no jobs, homes, money or hope, but you’ll pay big bucks to attend rock concerts by the thousands. [Bieber] has a platform given to him by God to speak to this world; he has a duty to teach obedience by his actions and words. He refuses to do that because he knows his concert halls would be empty! So, he teaches you to sin and rebel against God’s commandments.”

Sounds like the WBC Klan is getting desperate with its targets these days...

The only thing better than the Scissor Sisters' radio cover of "All The Lovers," in the key of country, a few weeks back is...

when Kylie joins in!!!

In my little fantasy world, I imagine Kylie and the Scissor Sisters are all bffs. Getting mani/pedis, dancing all night at G.A.Y. in London or doing shots at The Cock in New York, in between writing hit records, of course. But what matters is the U.K. and Australia have now each gotten a surprise duo performance, so America best be gettin' one, too! Please...

Yahoo has just reported that Ellen DeGeneres is leaving American Idol after just one season as a judge. The report was originally unconfirmed by Ellen's people, but rather came from someone affiliated with the show, which kicked off auditions for the new season last week.

Ellen has since released this statement:

"A couple months ago, I let Fox and the "American Idol" producers know that this didn't feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn't leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering,...
